Description

A 37.5cl bottle of Riesling Eiswein 1985 Bernkasteler Badstube from Mosel producer Hermann Freiherr Von Schorlemer.

Eiswein is produced from grapes which have been left to concentrate on the vines prior to freezing when temperatures drop to below minus seven degrees centigrade. The resulting grape must has additional concentration, and the resulting wine is known for its particularly pure flavour profile, which is largely unaffected by Botryris cinerea, or 'noble rot' found in many other classic late harvest wine styles.
