Description

A bottle of Aberlour Casg Annamh, matured in a combination of European oak sherry casks and two types of American oak casks. The bottling code indicates that this was bottled in 2018.

This was bottled batch number 0001.

Casg Annamh means 'rare cask' in Gaelic.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, with St Drostan's Well as its water source. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s, he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers.
