Description

A bottle of The Balvenie 14 Year Old Golden Cask. This spent an additional maturation period in casks that previously held golden Caribbean rum before bottling at 47.5% ABV.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
