Description

A bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac, presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter with stopper. We estimate this was bottled in the 1960s.

The neck tag reads: This decanter is the exact replica of a bottle discovered on the site of the Battle of Jarnac, which took place in 1569 between Catholics led by the Duke of Anjou and Protestants led by the Prince of Condé. The original bottle was found on the battle site, and acquired by Monsieur Rémy Martin at the beginning of this century. Reproductions of this decanter were then used the contain the very rare Cognacs by Rémy Martin for different royal families.

This lot does not include the box and original packaging.
