Description

A bottle of Krug 2003 vintage Champagne, a blend of 29% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, from a very long harvest (the earliest since 1822) which started in August and ended in October.

Krug was founded by Joseph Krug in 1853. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region, and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grande Marques. Today, the house is majority owned by LVMH, but despite this, the Krug family is still actively involved in all the key decisions of the house.
