A bottle of Imperial Institute Old Scotch whisky, sealed with a spring cap closure and, presented in a flask-style bottle. This was produced by John Dewar & Sons Ltd. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.
Please note there is no size or ABV stated on the bottle.
This bottle is from a large collection built up during the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s.
The New Zealand based collection is mainly comprised of blended Scotch whiskies and early Single Malt Scotch whiskies produced for export markets.
The bottles were inherited and conserved by the seller, the collector’s son.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the label and capsule. This contains a small amount of sediment.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
