Description

This lot contains six half bottles of 2005 Château Filhot from Sauternes, a blend of 60% Sémillon, 36% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Muscadelle, aged for 20 to 24 months in Allier oak barrels, one third of which were new.

'Pineapple skin, apple and honey on the nose. Full-bodied, very sweet and very lively, with intense acidity and a spicy aftertaste. The best in a while from this estate. Best after 2009. 5,000 cases made.' James Suckling, Wine Spectator, 2008
