Description

A bottle of Balvenie 17 Year Old DoubleWood. This was aged first in traditional whisky casks before transferring to sherry casks. This was imported for the Latvian market.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
