A bottle of Sercial 1905 Madeira wine. Sercial is the driest and crispest of the four classic grape varieties of Madeira, and is grown in diminishing quantities at the southern end of the island.

The shipper's name is no longer visible, and it is unclear if this is a 1905 vintage or solera Madeira.
