Description

A bottle of Dow's 1996 Quinta do Bomfim single vintage port, bottled by Symington Family Estates in 1998.

Dow’s was one of the first Port companies to recognise the importance of vineyard ownership in Port production, with Quinta do Bomfim considered to be one of the finest properties in the Douro valley. Acquired in 1896, it is the oldest quinta (or wine farm) in continuous ownership and forms the heart of all Dow's full Vintage Ports, or as a stand alone bottling - as is the case here - in intervening years.
