Description

A bottle of 1999 Château Rieussec from Sauternes. The estate is currently owned by Domaines Baron de Rothschild, and the vineyards, planted with 95% Sémillon, 3% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle border those of Château D’Yquem to the west.

'Absolutely phenomenal nose - nectarine, loads of spice and honey and lemon curd. Tremendous length and viscosity, miraculously freshened by crisp acid. A class apart - and still very primary! Magical. Drink 2009-2029. 18/20 points' Richard Hemming MW 2014
