Description

A bottle of Red Hackle, a sherry-matured blended Scotch whisky from Hepburn & Ross Ltd. This was imported to New Zealand by Maling & Co. Limited. We estimate this was bottled in the 1960s.

This was awarded the First Prize Medal in competition open to all brands of Scotch Whiskies at the Brewers Exhibition, London.

Note: this carries a Royal Warrant to HM The Queen.

This bottle is from a large collection built up during the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s.

The New Zealand based collection is mainly comprised of blended Scotch whiskies and early Single Malt Scotch whiskies produced for export markets.

The bottles were inherited and conserved by the seller, the collector’s son.

This Red Hackle Sherrywood sold at our online auction for £105
