Description

A bottle of Krug 1953 Extra Sec vintage Champagne.

Krug Champagne is a Champagne house founded by Joseph Krug in 1853. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region, and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grande Marques. Today, the house is majority owned by LVMH, but despite this, the Krug family is still actively involved in all the key decisions of the house.

There is no size or ABV visible on the label.

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and capsule.

This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption. As this is an older Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
