A bottle of The Balvenie 12 Year Old Signature Limited Batch Release, Batch No. 002. This whisky replaced The Balvenie's 10 year old expression and combines whiskies matured in oloroso sherry butts, first fill and refill bourbon barrels.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
