A 74cl bottle of Rochainn Nam Fear-Eolais 1963 single grain whisky. This was distilled on 14 August 1963, matured in ex-bourbon casks, and bottled for Thomas Lowndes & Co. Ltd.
This is bottle number 479; it was bottled from cask numbers 1214-1217.
The back label reads: Most grain whiskies are married with malt whisky to make blended whisky and are not normally sold as a single grain, however, this is no ordinary grain whisky. It was distilled in 1963 and filled into casks which had previously been used for shipping bourbon in America. Since then it has lain undiscovered in the Highlands of Scotland and has matured to be a fine Scotch Whisky for you to enjoy.
