Description

A 38cl bottle of Spey Royal, a blended Scotch whisky that was distilled, blended and bottled by W A Gilbey Limited, Glen Spey Distillery. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.

Spey Royal was launched following the takeover of James Catto & Co. by W & A Gilbey in 1916. The group, which owned Glen Spey, Knockando and Strathmill distilleries, eventually merged in 1962 with United Wine Traders to form International Distillers and Vintners (now Diageo).

This Spey Royal sold at our online auction for £30
