Description

A one litre bottle of The Balvenie 12 Year Old Triple Cask. This whisky was matured in three distinct casks, each one selected by Balvenie malt master, David Stewart: Oloroso sherry butts, followed by first-fill bourbon barrels, and finally traditional whisky casks.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
