Description

A litre bottle of Aberlour 12 Year Old, matured in sherry casks. This was bottled to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Aberlour Villge.

This is bottle number 0066 of 1812.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, with St Drostan's Well as its water source. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s, he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers, but every bottle still carries James Fleming's original motto, 'Let The Deed Show'.
