Description

A bottle of Aberlour 14 Year Old. This was distilled on 4 April 1994, matured in a first fill sherry cask, and was hand filled by the purchaser at Warehouse No. 1 in 2008.

This is bottle number 95; it was bottled from cask number 2825.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, with St Drostan's Well as its water source. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s, he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers, but every bottle still carries James Fleming's original motto, 'Let The Deed Show'.
