A bottle of The Balvenie 15 Year Old. This was distilled on 16 April 1996, matured in oak casks for 15 years, and bottled on 29 March 2012 from a single barrel.

This is bottle number 65 of 350; it was bottled from cask number 7951.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
