A bottle of Domaine De Rosiers 1990 Côte-Rôtie from producer Louis Drevon from the 'roasted slope' appellation in the northern Rhône wine region of France. Drevon picks from 27 different plots, with the largest individual plot, Rozier, dating back to the 1940s.
Côte-Rôtie is one of the oldest vineyards in France, first developed by the Romans. It is said that during the Middle Ages, 'The Seigneur de Maugiron' bequeathed a hillside to each of his two daughters, one was brunette and the other fair. Thus, were born the names of 'Côte Brune' and 'Côte Blonde'.
