A bottle of Domaine De La Tour Saint Michelle 1978 from producer Henri Fabre. The 1978 vintage is considered to be one of the truly great vintages in the region, and the best since 1961.

Domaine de la Tour Saint Michel is a family-owned estate, which has been in the family for three generations, with Michel Fabre the founder. Today the estate comprises of 40 hectares, of which 34 are in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.

Note there is no ABV on the label, but the minimum alcohol content by appellation law for Châteauneuf du Pape is 13.5%.
