Description

A bottle of Aberlour 21 Year Old. This was distilled in 1970, matured in bourbon casks, and bottled in 1989 and presented in a wooden box.

This is bottle number 05838 of 8000.

There is an additional label on the bottle, which reads: Anne and Michael Birchall.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, with St Drostan's Well as its water source. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s, he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers, but every bottle still carries James Fleming's original motto, 'Let The Deed Show'.
