Description

A bottle of Schlichte Steinhager. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.

Steinhager is a type of German gin produced exclusively in a village Steinhagen, Westphalia. It is made of grain and fermented must of the numerous juniper shrubs growing on the slopes of the Teutoburg Forest. There used to be around 20 companies producing it. Schlichte is one of two surviving to date.
