Daniel Crawford's Bene Vobis Spring Cap Bottled 1950s 75cl

A bottle of Daniel Crawford's Bene Vobis (Health To You) Rare and Very Old Liqueur Scotch whisky, sealed with a spring cap closure. This was produced by Daniel Crawford & Son Ltd. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

Daniel Crawford & Son Ltd. was founded as a small family firm in Glasgow in 1850. In 1944 it was acquired by the DCL under which it became the licensee for Parkmore distillery in Dufftown. Parkmore ceased production in 1931. In 1974, the company moved to Leith. Its whiskies were primarily intended for the export market, and most were discontinued in the 1990s.

This bottle is from a large collection built up during the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s.

The New Zealand based collection is mainly comprised of blended Scotch whiskies and early Single Malt Scotch whiskies produced for export markets.

The bottles were inherited and conserved by the seller, the collector’s son.
