Description

A litre bottle of Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Charles Mackinlay & Co.

This bottling is inspired by Ernest Shackleton's British Antarctic Expedition of 1907, when the explorer ordered 25 cases of Mackinlay's Rare Old Highland Malt Whisky for the journey. In 2007, 11 bottles were found intact in beneath Shackleton's base camp, inspiring master blender Richard Paterson to recreate the whisky.

This bottle comes with a pen drive with information about the explorer and the 1907 expedition.

This bottle and box has been signed by Alexandra Shackleton the grand daughter of Shackleton, and Tim Jarnis the explorer who recreated a Shackleton voyage.

This Shackleton Blended Malt sold at our online auction for £25
