A bottle of Caroni 90 Proof Extra Strong Navy Rum.

The label reads: A fine old rum from the British West Indies, Distilled by Caroni Limited, planters, sugar manufacturers & distillers, Trinidad.

Warranted and distributed by Tate & Lyle Ltd., 21 Mincing Lane, London, EC3.

We estimate this was bottled in the 1960s.

This bottle is being sold by the beneficiaries of the estate of an ex-employee of Tate & Lyle who worked there between the ages of 16 to 64.
