Description

A bottle of Sazerac De Forge et Fils Cognac, sealed with a driven cork and wax closure. We estimate this was bottled in the 1940s.

Please note the front label is missing.

Cognac from Sazerac de Forge was the spirit used in the original 19th century Sazerac cocktail, before Phylloxera destroyed Cognac's vineyards and alternative ingredients, like rye whiskey, came to be used instead.

This Sazerac De Forge Cognac sold at our online auction for £170
