A bottle of 1971 Taittinger Blanc de Blancs, a vintage Champagne produced solely from Chardonnay grapes.
This expression, Comtes de Champagne, is an homage to Lord Thibaut IV, who planted the first Chardonnay vines planted in the province in the 13th century.
'Simply a fabulous Champagne, with an elegance difficult to beat and a perfect combination of floweriness and fruitiness. It's truly amazing that one can make such a light, ethereally floating and feminine wine so rich and concentrated. 96/100' Richard Juhlin, 2003
