A 1978 vintage whisky from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This whisky was distilled at the Tamdhu distillery in May 1978, matured for 19 years, and bottled in May 1997.

This bottling is subtitled: Gunsmoke in a sweetie factory.

Tamdhu was founded in Speyside in 1896 and is currently owned by Ian Macleod distillers, making it a sister distillery to Glengoyne.

This SMWS 8.9 sold at our online auction for £300

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the label. There is hand writing in the corner of the label, and it reads: Tamdhu 23-2-13.

This contains a small amount of sediment.
