Description

A bottle of Charles Heidsieck 1964 Rosé Champagne.

Charles Camille Heidsieck was a nineteenth century French Champagne merchant who founded the Champagne firm Charles Heidsieck in 1851. He is credited with popularizing Champagne in the United States and was known as 'Champagne Charlie' during his stay.

This was imported into Italy by Soffiantino & Co.

This Charles Heidsieck Rose 1964 sold at our online auction for £45

Condition

Please see images for wear and damage to the labels. This appears to have a good fill level.

As this is a mature Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker. This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
