Description

A bottle of 1982 Taittinger Brut Champagne, a 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay blend.

This is from the Taittinger Collection, a series of specially selected vintage bottlings (i.e. not the 'regular' vintage bottling) with packaging designed by leading artists. This release was designed by artist André Masson, a French painter, sculptor, illustrator, designer and writer.

The bottle is enclosed in a plastic casing which protects it from the harmful effects of light and heat.

This Taittinger Collection 1982 sold at our online auction for £85

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. This appears to have a good fill level. Note wear to the neck tag.

As this is a mature Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker. This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
