Description

A bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Vintage 1966 Champagne, a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. This was bottled for Italian importer Wax & Vitale.

'It's hard to conceive of a wine being more enjoyable than this one. The fruit is incredibly dense and the style is unimpeachable. A classic Champagne that has everything and more. A little lighter and more elegant than the awesome '59.' 97/100 Richard Juhlin, tasting in October 2000.

Condition

Please note damage to the labels. As this is a mature Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker.

This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.
