A bottle of G H Mumm 1971 Rene Lalou Champagne. This was imported to the Italian market by Amerigo Sagna & Figli.
Cuvée R. Lalou was named in honour of René Lalou who oversaw production at Mumm from 1920 to 1973. It is sourced from the oldest and most characterful parcels within Mumm's vineyards, which include 12 Grand Cru ‘lieux-dits’. This is a 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and capsule.
As this is a mature Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker.
This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
