A bottle of Dom Pérignon 1964 vintage Champagne from Moët & Chandon. A 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay blend, this was imported to Italy by R Cortese.
'Believe it or not, but the '64 may even be a touch sharper than the '66. The winner of a tasting with twelve of the best vintages from Dom Pérignon, Krug and Bollinger. This wine combined the big, nutty tones of age with young acidity and fresh attack. The wine has everything....exceptionally long.' 98/100 Richard Juhlin, 2004
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and capsule.
As this is a mature Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
