Description

A Black Sambo Selected Vatted Rum, produce of British Guyana. This was bottled by Hammonds United Breweries Ltd., Bradford, Huddersfield & York. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

Hammond's United Breweries Ltd was founded in 1840 by Joseph Pullen and purchased by James Hammond in 1860. In 1960, it merged with Hope & Anchor Breweries Ltd. and John Jeffrey & Co. Ltd. and became Northern Breweries of Great Britain, and later United Breweries Ltd.
