A 71cl bottle of Hudson's Bay Demerara Rum, bottled at 75% ABV. This was distilled in Guyana and bottled in Great Britain. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s for the Canadian market.
The Hudson's Bay Company was incorporated on 2 May 1670 as The Governor & Company of Adventurers of England Trading into Hudson's Bay, with a royal charter from King Charles II. It gained a monopoly in the fur trade and was at one point the largest land owner in the world. Later, it began importing spirits into the Hudson Bay area, and is known for its 'Best Procurable' brand of Scotch whisky.
