Description

A bottle of Louis Roederer 1959 Brut Champagne, a blend of 66% pinot noir and 34% chardonnay. This was bottled for Italian importer Wax & Vitale.

The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to HM Queen Elizabeth II.

'More a classic Roederer than a typical '59. Certainly there is strength and a suggestion of smoky aromas, but considerably more apparent is the house's balanced and creamy style. The cleanness is impressive, as well as the finesse created by the chalky mineral hints...extremely close to 97 points'. Richard Juhlin, January 2000

As this is an older Champagne it is likely that it has lost its bubbles naturally over time. It is also natural for the liquid to have oxidised and become darker.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
