A bottle of Swn Y Mor (Sound of the Sea) blended whisky from The Welsh Whisky Company.

Although the company claimed this was a blend of Scottish malt and Welsh grain whisky. It is actually thought to be a blend of Scottish whiskies, neutral grain spirits, Welsh water and Welsh botanicals. The discovery of this misrepresentation resulted in an investigation into the company that revealed tax discrepancies leading to the company folding in the 1990s following a duty fraud case. The three company directors were subsequently jailed.

This is not to be confused with the Welsh single malt whisky Penderyn which used the holding name, The Welsh Whisky Company.

We estimate that this was bottled in the 1980s.
