Description

A bottle of Rare Old Liqueur Scotch Whisky, blended and bottled by The Newcastle Breweries Ltd. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

The label reads: This choice old whisky is blended from the products of some of the most famous Scottish distilleries. It has been matured in sherry wood and is remarkable for its mellowness and delicate flavour.

There is no size stated on the label.

Newcastle Breweries Ltd. was registered as a company in 1890, and at its peak owned 215 public houses. It merged with Scottish Breweries Ltd. in 1960 to form Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd.
