Lowrie & Co. Glasgow was a whisky stockholder who supplied James Buchanan with his eponymous blended whisky when he started his own company. Lowrie experienced financial hardship and in 1906 James Buchanan bought him out .

These minis are from the collection of David Maund, one of the founding members of the oldest miniature bottle clubs in the world, The Mini Bottle Club.

David started his collection over 40 years ago and at the peak he had over 9000 minis, including some of the oldest and rarest bottles ever seen.

Over the next few auctions we will be selling the remainder of his blended whisky collection.
