A cask of 2007 Macallan single malt Scotch whisky.
This was originally purchased direct from Macallan by the owner. The cask remains under bond and stored with Macallan. This is sherry oak cask number 11637. The cask was coopered at Jose Miguel Martin and seasoned at Gonzalez Byass. It was originally filled with new make spirit on 30 July 2007 with 255 bulk litres at cask strength of 69.6% ABV.
The whisky is now 10 years old and will continue to mature in cask. This cask was regauged on 11 January 2018. The regauge found that the cask now contains approximately 225 bulk litres at a cask strength of 63.93% (this is referred to as 143.8 litres of alcohol).
If bottled immediately this would yield approximately 510 x 70cl bottles of whisky at 40% ABV.
This lot includes an En Primeur cask record book and sample bottle of the original Macallan new make, presented in an oak box.

This cask is held in bonded warehouse with Macallan, Speyside; Scotland. Annual storage must be arranged direct with the warehouse following the sale.
Ownership of this cask is auctioned here in bond, this means that the price does not include any duty or VAT. Ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Whisky.Auction. The buyer will be issued legal receipt of the cask.
Any costs relating to storage, insurance, transfer, removal from bond, bottling, duty, VAT etc will become the responsibility of the new cask owner.
Non UK based buyers must appoint a Duty Representative to act on their behalf for transfer of ownership. Customs & Excise refer to the owners as the representatives.
