A historic half bottle of blended Scotch whisky. This was bottled for Lord Woolavington, more widely known in the whisky trade as James Buchanan, founder of the Buchanan's blended whisky brands, including Black & White. James Buchanan died in 1935, we estimate this was bottled in the early 1930s.
The label reads: A blend of specially selected old Scotch whiskies. Containing a percentage of Special Old Liqueur as Supplied to HM the King. Averaging 17 years in Wood. Bottled for the private use of Lord Woolavington.
This bottle was given to the seller in around 1980 by a former butler of James Buchanan.
There is no size or ABV stated on the label, but this appears to be a half bottle, 37.5cl.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
