Description

This lot contains two bottles of John Begg Blue Cap blended Scotch whisky, which we estimate were bottled in the 1950s to 1960s.

The labels carry royal warrants by appointment to The Late King George V, the brand continued to use this royal warrant into the 1980s.

John Begg was produced at Royal Lochnagar and is named after the founder of the distillery. After the brand was sold to Bacardi (as part of John Dewar & Sons) in 1998, the John Begg trademark was allowed to expire.

This John Begg Blue Cap (Royal Lochnagar) sold at our online auction for £45
