Description

A bottle of Smith Woodhouse 1997 Vintage Port, bottled in 1999.

'On the darker side of the spectrum, with Turkish coffee and liquorice root notes leading the way, while the core of black currant, ganache and sticky toffee pudding waits in reserve. A tarry edge drives the finish, with a whiff of singed walnut lending cut at the very end. Drink now through 2030. 3,000 cases made. 93 points.' Wine Spectator, 2017.
