A bottle of 2008 Meursault Les Luchets from Domaine Roulot, a 16 hectare estate created by the late Guy Roulot, who pioneered single-vineyard bottlings in Meursault. Now run by his son Jean-Marc, the wines are famed for their Chablis-like minerality and precision.
Les Luchets is a cool vineyard with a north-easterly aspect in the hills above Meursault.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear. Capsule is slightly loose but appears to be secure. This has leaked in the past but is not currently leaking. Due to the fragility of the cork/closure we recommend this for collection only, and it is shipped entirely at the buyer's own risk.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
