This lot contains the entire Courvoisier Collection Erte 1 through 8. Each was designed by leading Art Deco artist Erté, who died shortly after the first edition was released. Some of the eaux-de-vie used in this range date back to 1892, the year of the artist's birth. Including:
Courvoisier Erte No.1 Vigne, 75cl, 40%; Vigne is French for 'Vine'.
Courvoisier Erte No.2 Vendanges, 75cl, 40%: Vendanges is French for 'Harvest'.
Courvoisier Erte No.3 Distillation, 75cl, 40%
Courvoisier Erte No.4 Vieillissement, 75cl, 40% - Spirit:Vieillissement is French for 'Aging'.
Courvoisier Erte No.5 Degustation, 70cl, 40%: Dégustation is French for 'Tasting'.
Courvoisier Erte No.6 L'Esprit Du Cognac, 70cl, 40%: L'Esprit du Cognac is French for 'The Spirit of Cognac'.
Courvoisier Erte No.7 La Part Des Anges, 70cl, 40%: 'La Part des Anges' refers to the alcohol that evaporates from the cask during maturation, known as 'the Angels' share' in English.
Courvoisier Erte No.8 Inedit, 70cl, 40%: Inédit is final bottling in the series and was released in 1995 to commemorate the death of the artist who designed the labels, Erté.
