A bottle of 2015 Richebourg Grand Cru from Domaine Méo-Camuzet.
The Richebourg vineyard is approximately eight hectares in total, divided between nine notable producers and responsible for producing around 26000 bottles in total per year.
'The 2015 Richebourg Grand Cru has an expressive bouquet, a little earthier than the 2015 Cros Parantoux, more reserved and statesmanlike, though at the same time it shows impressive clarity and gains stature with every swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with superb, quite robust tannin that lend this Richebourg the arching structure that can define this vineyard. There is some some new oak to be absorbed on the finish, but there is great density and length. Does it have the flamboyance of the Cros Parantoux? Let's see - my bets are with the premier cru at present. I suspect that this will be an imposing Richebourg with time, as Jean-Nicolas Méo himself commented'. 94-96 Neal Martin - The Wine Advocate, 30 December 2016.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
