A bottle of Château Lynch Bages 1982 Grand Cru Classé from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation.

'The 1982 Lynch Bages is fabulous and possibly the strongest showing I have ever seen. Surprisingly, it was even more rich, full and profound than I remember it being the last time I tasted it. 95/100' Robert Parker, Hedonists Gazette, October 2012

A famously generous, over-performing 'Fifth Growth', or Cinquième Cru Classé in the 1855 Classification, Lynch Bages is a 100 hectare estate planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc for its red wines.

There is no ABV stated on the label.

This lot comes from the cellar of our Whisky Exchange colleague; author, wine educator and fortified wine authority, the late Godfrey Spence.
