This lot contains two bottle of 1995 Côte Rôtie Les Jumelles and bottled by Paul Joboulet Aine. Spread over two hectares of the Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde, Maison Paul Jaboulet Ainé vinifies a fine and delicate Côte-Rôtie. Syrah, the only grape variety of which it is composed, therefore benefits from the specificities of these two plots: one being composed of silica and limestone (the Côte Blonde), and the other of clay and iron oxide (the Côte Brune). The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood around 20%.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
